Welcome New Design Staff

Four new Display Technicians have been added to the Design team.
  • John Verster has recently moved to the area from South Africa, where he specialized in work on trade show exhibits, in museums and in the signage industry. John owns his own small business, specializing in exhibit displays, exhibition consultation services and advertising.
  • Greg Robinson will be familiar to many of the BVM staff, as he worked here as a Museum Interpreter from 2000-2006. Greg holds a Bachelor's Degree in Drama and Visual Art, and brings several years experience as a specialty finisher and muralist to his work. As an educator in school and museum environments, he has designed and used visual arts and display props to help people explore art and history.
  • Alison Brown works in the film industry as a Set Dresser, and completed Set Dresser training at Capilano College. In her work, she is responsible for transporting and installing film sets, as well as working creatively as part of a team to source and create props and environments. Alison brought Lynn and Lisa a picture of a very convincing fake kidney she made. Yup. A kidney. Too bad we didn't hire her in time for Halloween.
  • Penny Chubaty has also been added to the Display Technician code, and will be helping Lois and Tammy with wreath-making and decorating.
