In the Real Estate Office

A display of historic photographs that were included in the Heritage Burnaby website are on display this summer in the Real Estate Office in the Village. Be sure to see the photographs from the collection of the Hill family (who once owned the property that is now the Burnaby Village Museum), as well as images from Central Park, including early May Day celebrations.

The digitized content available at http://www.heritageburnaby.ca/ is continuing to grow. The website was launched this spring, and provides a single place where people can access information about the City's heritage collections, including artifacts, archival records, photographs, and heritage landmarks. The staff at the City Archives are continuing to scan and describe photographs to add to the Photograph Collections database, including images from the Burnaby Village Museum collection, and several thousand historic photographs donated to the City by the Burnaby Historical Society. More images of museum artifacts will be added to the Artifacts Collections database this summer.
