A letter was recently received in the post from Mabel, who wanted to let everyone know she is returning to the Village this summer. She notes:
"Thank you so much to everyone for letting the staff in Curatorial know how much you enjoyed working with me last summer. Because of your kind words, I was not tossed upon the scrapheap of history (which is frankly every museum mascot's greatest fear). Instead, I have been re-illustrated, complete with a new hat and magnifying glass (and arm!) and invited back to point out to our visitors the many interesting examples of restoration work at the Museum. This summer, I will be making an appearance at Love Farmhouse, Elworth, and other points of interest.
And, yes, visitors will still be able to send me questions by email at askmabel@burnaby.ca. See you at spring training!
