A trial version of the new collections database was installed on the computers of curatorial staff on November 28, and Tom is working on making sure it is functioning correctly and the conversion of the museum's data is complete. Curatorial staff are excited about the increased access it will provide to data about the museum's collections.
Meanwhile, web design is taking place for a searchable website that will provide access to historic photographs, landmarks, and artifacts managed by the City of Burnaby. This is a collaborative project involving the BVM, City Archives, and Planning Department.
