Exhibit at Kingway Library

For the month of October, the Museum has a display at the Kingsway branch of the Burnaby Library. The “Women at Work in the 1920s” display features mannequins costumed in the workday wear of the 1920s, along with examples of the automated office machines that created many new jobs for women as clerical workers. The display includes a Dictaphone that recorded voice on a wax cylinder and an early Oliver typewriter with a distinctive “U" shaped type-bar.

The library is located at 7252 Kingsway (on the south side of Kingsway across from Highgate Mall).
